A very big welcome if you are new to this blog, I know there were heaps of newbies here this week.
Get Up & Gallop is all about supporting you in your journey to create and build your ideal business, and therefore, your ideal life. It’s also about being grateful to be a position privileged enough to allow you that choice. Let’s be honest, not everyone on this planet has this privilege.
What I am going to say is that there are some new rules for this website, and for anyone who becomes a part of the GU&G Tribe.
The rules were always there about confidentiality and no bullying, respect for others and supporting them along their journey as well as your own.
I’m angry today. I’m also a little bit sad.
I am sad I have to make this rule obvious and clear.
I want to state here, right now, that I will also not tolerate any kind of racism here or in my business in anyway. Not blatant racism, not “casual racism”.
I want to state here that I do not support children in detention, “turning back the boats” or detention of any Australian (or any person anywhere for that matter) with no paper trail or protection.
I firmly believe that in our privileged position, (because let’s face it, if you are reading this on your device, with internet reception, and you can actually read it- you are privileged) it is our responsibility to stand up for those who can’t.
Imagine being stuck in a tin shed, separated from family, no running water, afraid and scared.
Imagine being abused because the colour of your skin is different to the majority around you?
Imagine this was happening to your family and friends, every day with out let up?
Not pleasant at all.
When I talk to people like you, filled with the excitement and passion for the work that they do, the people they help, the horses and pets that they care for, my heart sings.
My rule is that you extend that care to those around you. To those that are different.
Get Up & Gallop is my business and there’s a lot of me in it. It’s something I want to be proud of, I’m not going to pull any punches or hide behind a façade of what I think you might expect.
Lets grow professionally and personally together. I’d love to know your thoughts.
