You’ve got everything completely sorted for this year, right? Sales budgets, marketing plans, ads and lead gen programs just waiting to roll out, clients knocking at your door constantly, people showing you with testimonials….
You don’t? But doesn’t everyone have everything sorted in their business? Isn’t everything easy, and perfect and in flow?
If you believed everything you see on social media from your peers, other coaches, your competitors everyone else (except you) have everything sorted.
Let me tell you a secret-
Everyone has strengths and weaknesses in their business. Some people love doing their numbers, others would rather poke their eye with a stick that do their accounts.
Some just love doing sales, others would prefer it if they never had to talk to anyone ever again. (actually, that last bit is kinda near burn out… you need to do something about that)
Some are dead scared of technology, and others are constantly seeking out the newest and latest gadget or software.
The thing to remember, as you work away doing what you love and bringing change like only you can, is that all those people you are comparing yourself to via social media are just like you.
They feel alone sometimes.
They feel like they’re not good enough sometimes.
They make mistakes.
They have good sales months, and bad sales months.
They are just like you.
It’s not all rainbows and sparkles and manifestation and vision boards and fairy shit.
Being in your own business is Damn. Hard. Work.
You are not alone.
We are all in this together.
The sooner you find a community of like minded people who will share their truth, listen to you with empathy and compassion, offer help when asked, the better.
It might look like everyone has it sorted, but I guarantee you, they don’t.
Don’t beat yourself up comparing yourself to other people’s social constructs.
The journey, the learning, the slow day in, day out work- THAT’s the important stuff; not the instant gratification. Take one step, take another step, keep going- the things you learn not just about your business but about YOURSELF- that’s what makes this whole thing worthwhile.
So stop planning for 2017- start planning for your life. You’re not going to get everything you want done this year, you’ll want more, so what do you want the rest of your life to look like? Plan your business around that instead.
And remember- you are not alone. We are all in this together. Stop looking to create an empire, and start building an alliance instead. The rebels were always cooler anyway.
